Worldly Possessions

(was suppose to be) A still-life art project. After staring at my new friend, the science skeleton, i've manage to capture some of his bony-ness. Though I didn’t exactly follow the guidelines, the teacher was really lenient and didn’t mind (?). The assignment was drawing 5 objects and arrange them into a portrait thingy-- but I usually can't draw without meaning behind it. So there is a religious meaning behind this picture, but you can interpret it any way you'd like. But this is how I interpret it.

On the left top, it shows a badly drawn rib spine/ pelvis, and they are all connected by a ‘hand sanitizer’ bottle. However they are falling apart. The hands on the bottom are trying to grasp the remaining life in the dead. This signifies that as hard as we try, worldly possessions will not fully fulfill our desires, and if it does, it will never last.

However one thing that will last for eternity is God's love. In him, we’ll have eternal life. Everything will go according to God’s plan.

I believe I used charcoal and an eraser.
